About Garrett
An Active Background and a More Personal Approach
Garrett was born in Utah, spent much of his childhood in California and moved to Georgia in middle school. He played soccer nearly every day growing up, then competed in soccer and wrestling throughout high school. Those experiences—and his own injuries—shaped his interest in movement, recovery and helping people stay active.
He returned to Utah after high school and earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University in 2010. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in 2013 and began practicing that same year.
Growing up, Garrett was often told that the answer to an injury was simply to stop playing the sport or avoid the activity. He also saw care plans built around large prepaid visit packages instead of the individual. He opened Utah Sports & Family Chiropractic to create a different kind of practice—one where active people have time to be heard and care is adapted to the person rather than a standard schedule.
His goal is to help patients understand how their bodies are moving, recognize when something does not feel or move right and know what they can do next. He listens, examines the concern, explains the options clearly and reassesses progress rather than assuming everyone needs the same plan.

From Youth Sports to Professional Competition
Garrett has treated athletes from elementary and high school through college, including patients who have competed at UVU, BYU, the University of Utah, Utah Tech and Weber State. His experience also includes athletes who have competed professionally in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, MMA, dance, volleyball, bull riding, motocross and distance running.
He approaches that experience as a responsibility—not a résumé: listen carefully, understand the demands of the activity and help each person work toward a safe, confident return.

Care Across Generations
Garrett enjoys caring for whole families and has worked with patients across a wide range of ages and stages of life—from infants and young children to teenage athletes, college students, new parents, working adults, weekend warriors and older adults who want to keep moving comfortably.
Still Active Outside the Office
Garrett has competed in MMA, plays disc golf in local tournaments and runs a small soccer league in Alpine. He has also helped coach youth football and soccer. Most importantly, he enjoys life with his wife, Christine, who owns an esthetics practice, and their three very different sons. With deep family ties throughout Utah, the state has been home for most of his life.
