Your first visit

A Clear, Comfortable Starting Point

Your first appointment focuses on understanding the problem, screening for concerns and discussing reasonable next steps—without pressure or guesswork.

01

Conversation

We discuss your symptoms, health history, daily activities, previous care and what you want to get back to doing.

02

Assessment

Your visit may include movement, range-of-motion, strength, orthopedic or neurological testing based on your concern.

03

Explanation

Garrett explains what the assessment suggests, answers questions and discusses available options.

04

Treatment

Care may begin on the first visit when the history and examination indicate it is appropriate and you agree to proceed.

05

Your Plan

You receive clear next steps, home recommendations when useful and an explanation of how progress will be reassessed.

Good to know

First-Visit Questions

Will I be adjusted on the first visit?

Possibly. Treatment begins only when it is appropriate after the assessment and you consent.

Do I automatically need X-rays?

No. Imaging is considered when the history and examination indicate it may affect management or identify another concern.

What if I am nervous?

Tell Garrett. He can explain the options, modify techniques and proceed only with your consent.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on the concern, its duration, your goals and response. Progress is reassessed rather than promised in advance.
