Chiropractic Care and Documentation for Attorney-Referred Auto Injury Clients
Utah Sports & Family Chiropractic works with personal-injury attorneys, paralegals and case managers seeking accessible auto-injury care in Lehi and northern Utah County.
Organized Communication Without Claims-Driven Care
The purpose of the relationship is to make appropriate care and authorized information easier to coordinate—not to advocate for a predetermined legal or medical outcome.

Referral workflow
A Straightforward Process for the Firm and Client
Initial contactThe attorney, case manager or client calls the office to discuss availability and the general referral.
Financial coordinationThe office reviews PIP information and, when applicable, considers the proposed attorney lien before confirming the arrangement.
Clinical evaluationDr. Peterson obtains the history, screens the injury and performs examination procedures appropriate to the presentation.
Individualized careTreatment frequency and services follow clinical findings, patient goals and measured response rather than a standard accident schedule.
Authorized reportingRecords, billing and a requested final narrative are prepared through the office’s approved release process.
Clinical record
Documentation That Reflects the Actual Course of Care
Notes are designed first to support patient care. Depending on the visit and findings, the record may include symptom history, functional changes, examination findings, range of motion, appropriate orthopedic or neurological testing, treatment delivered, home recommendations and response over time.
SoftWave® use is documented as treatment when it is provided; it is not presented as a diagnostic test. Imaging or referral is recommended when the examination indicates that another level of evaluation is appropriate.

Attorney referral questions
Billing, Records and Coordination FAQs
Does Utah Sports & Family Chiropractic accept attorney liens?
Yes, attorney liens are accepted on a case-by-case basis. The office reviews the representation, available coverage and proposed arrangement before confirming acceptance.
Does the clinic bill Utah PIP benefits directly?
Yes. The office bills available PIP benefits directly after obtaining the necessary claim and insurance information. Coverage, balances and payment remain subject to the individual policy and claim.
How quickly are records and billing provided?
With a valid authorization and complete request, records and billing are normally processed within one week. Many firms prefer monthly requests, which the office can accommodate.
Are final narrative reports available?
Yes. Dr. Peterson can prepare a final narrative report when requested. The content reflects the clinical record, examination findings, course of care and status documented in the case.
How should a firm send protected patient information?
Call the office first to arrange an approved secure method. Patient information and documents can be exchanged through secure fax or another secure method agreed upon with the firm. Do not send protected health information through the general website or ordinary email.
Does the patient need an attorney before scheduling?
No. The clinic also sees people using auto-insurance benefits who have not retained counsel. Having an attorney does not change the independent clinical evaluation or treatment recommendations.
